Now it would be nice if some volunteer create a nice site layout for the webinterface.

In the past I had some trouble to manage my RSS feeds.

I used Thunderbird for reading my email than the RSS feeds begun to grow up and I used Thunderbird to read my feeds, but it is the wrong program for it. To slow and to big, eats memory.

Today I started my search for an news reader! - I found Liferea.

A small and fast - written in GTK - newsreader. Now I'm happy with the feeds.

My project is neaerly complete! - Web based managment for eMailServers.

My eMailServer framework based on Courier/Postfix/Maildrop/MySQL has got four usergroups:

1.) normal eMailaccount

• change there own password


• create/modify/delete autoresponder

2.) admin for one or more domains

• can do the same like a normal eMailaccount


• create/modify/delete eMailaddresses


• create/modify/delete Forwardings


• create/modify/delete CatchAll Address

3.) superadmin

• can do the same like the admin


• create/modify/delete domains

4.) superadmin manager

• can do the same like the superadmin


• create/modify/delete superadmins

All this actions can be done with the webinterface!

The Webinterface depends on php4, php4-mysql, php4-cli, mysql-server,smarty, php4-pear and some extra Pear Modules.

Devolo dLAN USB drivers for the devolo network over power module.

If you try to compile the version 2.0 on an higher kernel than 2.6.13 you get the following error:

The URB_ASYNC_UNLINK symbol is removed from the kernel.

This afternoon Alan Stern submitted a patch to remove the URB_ASYNC_UNLINK
flag from the Linux kernel. Mr. Stern explained, "This flag is a relic
from an earlier, less-well-designed system. For over a year it hasn't
been used for anything other than printing warning messages."

So remove the lines 204 till 208 in the file driver/devolo_usb.c.

Restart the make, and the driver will now compile fine and work.

I develop an easy webinterface for Postfix and Courier based on a MySQL Database.

Please use a correct SOA serial number for your nameserver.

Discussed in the RFC 1912:

Decimal serial numbers have been officially deprecated in recent BIND versions. The recommended syntax is YYYYMMDDnn (YYYY=year, MM=month, DD=day, nn=revision number. This won't overflow until the year 4294.

So please use YYYYMMDDnn, so for the first entry on the day: 2006052301. For the second change on the same day use instead of 01 a 02!

Note to myself: mii-tool can't operate with 1Gbit/s and more.

Use ethtool, provides more informtion and has no 100Mbit/s limit.
